Meet Dorothy Steiger, the Operations Manager at Financial Voyages, bringing 12 years of experience in the financial industry. In her role, Dorothy excels at delegating tasks, monitoring workflows, and assisting various teams with issues related to trades, paperwork, and preparation.
Dorothy specializes in term life, disability, and long-term care insurance, as well as managing rollovers, including the necessary paperwork and calls. While she is gradually winding down her involvement in daily trades as the money movement team has expanded, she continues to handle all fee billing associated with interim money and quarterly billing, as well as assisting with block trades.
Although she has no formal certifications in this field, Dorothy holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a Master’s degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, demonstrating her commitment to education and understanding complex subjects.
She finds fulfillment in her role, feeling that she has successfully stepped into her position and enjoys helping her team while problem-solving when challenges arise. Dorothy is particularly proud of the promotions she has earned over the last couple of years, reflecting her dedication and hard work.
Outside of the office!
Outside of work, Dorothy loves hiking with her dogs and has a passion for paranormal investigating. A fun fact about her is that she scratched an item off her bucket list by acting at Pennhurst Asylum during the Halloween season several years ago. Guided by her motto, “Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you,” Dorothy embraces her individuality and leadership in both her professional and personal life.
