Gary C. Sanson, CFP®, ChFC®, CFS®, RFC®, AEP®, CASL®

Gary Sanson is the president and founder of Financial Voyages. He has continued to build a successful, family oriented practice specializing in retirement and estate planning for individuals and small-business owners. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 20 years of financial industry experience, Gary upholds an ethical standard to put his clients first.

He works closely with each client to determine their goals, develop a customized strategy, and monitor their progress with revising their plan on a continuous basis. Other designations that Gary has earned include the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®), Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®), Chartered Advisor in Senior Living® (CASL®) and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) which is only awarded to estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of experience, knowledge, education, professional reputation, and character. He graduated with honors in finance from Temple University and currently holds FINRA Series 6,7,24,26,63 and 65 licenses, in addition to numerous insurance licenses. He is currently a member of the Institute of Business and Finance, Society of Financial Services Professionals, and the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Additionally, Gary’s commitment to the community includes educating adults and youth on financial issues by teaching hundreds of classes through various local colleges, universities and high schools, and volunteers his time at various local organizations (food pantries, VA hospital, Ronald McDonald House, church). Gary has been honored with recognition by Philadelphia Magazine in its selection of “2014, 2015 and 2016 Philadelphia Wealth Managers”.* He has also previously served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee for a local church, on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross and other privately held corporations.

Steven R. Sanson, MSFS, ChFC®, CFS®, RFC®

Steven Sanson brings 20 years of financial industry experience to his role as the branch manager and OSJ supervisor of Financial Voyages. He effectively explains clients’ options and offers unbiased guidance with independent product solutions while diligently monitoring his clients’ progress.

Steve earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, with high honors in economics. He has also earned a Master of Science degree in financial services (MSFS) from the American College’s Richard D. Irwin graduate school and is among an elite group of investment professionals nationwide to receive this prestigious graduate degree.  Steve currently holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®), and Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) designations; as well as Limited and General Securities Agent (FINRA Series 6 and 7), Registered Investment Advisor (Series 65), and General Securities Principal (Series 24), Operations Professional (Series 99) registrations; Life, Accident, Health, Disability, Long Term Care and Property and Casualty Insurance licensed. His extensive knowledge, education, and experience enable him to effectively create unique and personalized solutions to help his clients achieve their financial goals.  Building long-term relationships is a primary focus of his practice. Steve is a highly respected speaker and educator on a wide variety of financial subjects and has taught hundreds of classes at local universities, colleges, high schools, and non-profit organizations to include Temple University’s Ft. Washington Business Campus. He is also a member of the Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Business and Finance, The Montgomery County Estate Planning Council, Financial Service Institute, International Association of Registered Financial Consultants and a founding member of the William Way Community Center. Proudly serving his country for nearly 30+ years, Steve is a Medical Service Corps Officer, Colonel, serving in the United States Army Reserve (USAR), Deputy Commanding Officer, 1st Medical Training Brigade, Fort Gordon Georgia and is a member of VFW post #6630 and the American Legion. The U.S. Army has recognized Steven for his volunteer and educational work at non-profit organizations by awarding him the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal in 2001.

Brian Hines

Brian Hines is a registered representative of Financial Voyages who works closely with his clients in an advisory capacity and is committed to helping them define and achieve their financial goals. He offers over 12 years of financial industry experience with a unique history of working directly with clients in non-profit positions, specifically teachers and county and state employees.

Brian develops customized financial plans based on his clients’ unique life situations while taking into consideration the important decisions regarding children, parents, and community that may arise. He currently holds FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 licenses; insurance licenses; and a bachelor’s degree in financial management from Saint Joseph University. He has also earned certification in long-term care by the CLTC Board of Standards.  Brian resides in North Wales, Pennsylvania.

Dan Melville, CFS®

Dan Melville, Financial Advisor and Investment Committee Director, is a registered representative of Financial Voyages who is passionate about helping his clients work towards and attain their personal and financial goals. This is achieved by providing honest and individually tailored solutions to his client’s financial challenges.

From novice clients opening their first account, to mature investors focused on estate planning, the scope and scale of services provided is designed by careful analysis of his client’s needs, risk tolerance, goals, and investments philosophy. Dan believes in offering unbiased guidance with independent product solutions for clients with diligent monitoring and effective communication throughout the way. Building long-term relationships is the primary focus of his practice.

Dan has over 5 years of industry experience working with Merrill Lynch and Financial Voyages. His diversified experiences working with two different firms allow Dan to see two distinctly different views on portfolio construction and management. Dan not only shares this insight with his clients but also uses it on a daily basis while serving as Financial Voyages’ Investment Committee Director.

Dan currently holds the Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®) designation from the Institute of Business and Finance. He also holds his FINRA Series 7 and his FINRA Series 66 licenses. Finally, Dan holds life, accident and health insurance licenses. Dan graduated from Susquehanna University with honors while studying Finance and Economics. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree from West Chester University.

Dan’s passion for helping others goes beyond his work at Financial Voyages. In his free time he enjoys volunteering at Perkiomen Township Fire Company where he serves the community as a firefighter. Dan was promoted to Lieutenant in 2016 and named firefighter of the year in 2007. Dan also participated in the Boy Scouts of America where he reached the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor for those involved in Scouting. Dan currently resides in Collegeville, PA.

Kate DeForest

As the marketing coordinator of Financial Voyages, Kate strives to make all client related events, business functions, and educational classes a success. She also serves as office manager and compliance coordinator, working diligently to ensure exceptional client care and service, and stays informed on regulatory information to help keep the firm compliant.

Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Eastern University, which has enabled her to effectively multi-task job duties and organize firm obligations and events that help make the office operate in a smooth and efficient manner. She resides in Skippack, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Brad, and their two college-age daughters, Michaela and Susanna. Kate enjoys singing with the Academy Chorale, hiking, cooking and is active in her church.

Carolyn Stull

Carolyn currently oversees all Para planning activities.  Carolyn contributes about 20 years of financial industry experience to the firm. She currently holds FINRA Series 7, 55, and 63 licenses. She earned a degree in business administration and has assisted top financial planners and traders from firms including Boenning & Scattergood, Radnor Trading, and Lincoln Investment Planning.

Dorothy Steiger

Dorothy handles all term life, disability and long term care insurance, as well as setting up and monitoring direct and brokerage accounts. She is also responsible for assisting clients with rollovers, and executing the advisors’ recommended trades on all accounts. Dorothy earned her B.A. in History from Kutztown University and her M.A. in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from West Chester University. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, visiting museums, and learning about different cultures.

Sharon McNeill

Sharon McNeill is the Client Services Advocate for Financial Voyages. She provides office support to the advisors as well as client support on all incoming needs. Her career path and education has been primarily in the medical and behavioral health field and this gives her an edge when meeting the personal needs of our clients. Sharon is also the friendly voice most of you hear when you call the office and with her attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities,

she manages the demands of the front desk with ease. Sharon is active with her church and enjoys time with her family, music, swimming, cooking and dining out. She resides in Gilbertsville with her husband, six children as well as a few furry four-legged family members.

Sue Tandoc, CMP

Sue Tandoc plans the events and manages social media marketing for Financial Voyages. With twenty years of meeting planning experience, she holds the CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation and has worked in the software, pharmaceutical and medical education industries coordinating trade shows, conferences and more. In 2016, Sue published her first novel, His Kate, a love story set in Philadelphia.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from Widener University. An avid reader, Sue has read over 3,200 children’s books with her kids. A fitness enthusiast and member of the Parent Faculty Club at her sons’ school, she enjoys time with her children, local events, cooking, writing and the arts. Sue resides in Plymouth Meeting with her two sons, Dylan and Devon.

Nan Sanson

Nan oversees the bookkeeping, payroll and employee benefits for Financial Voyages.  Though Nan’s job is largely behind the scenes, it’s no less an important piece to the functioning of our company.  She is a graduate of Harcum Junior College with an Associate of Science degree, as well as Gwynedd-Mercy College with a bachelors degree in Health Administration.
